Description"Rogue Storm!"July 1981 My love for the "hobby" has been growing and growing through the years! By my own, I'm a devote lover but my friends (my amazing friends!) contributed a lot ... Currently, as many of us, I'm obsessed! Mutants are a relevant part or the reason why this obsession! To have a page with Storm and Nightcrawler by their creator is like winning the lottery! It is so amazing also to have Wolverine in his brown and ochre suit. UXM 145-147 is an amazing trilogy. IMHO that arc is the best drawing work done by Cockrum on UXM. Probably because Rubibstenin's inks. Here you have a very good example! I FEEL BLESSED! "Wolverine is not fashion conscious, clearly, but he is enormously proud, and if he is going to wear a costume at all, it would be one of his own design. Presumably the blue and yellow was government issue (which would explain a lot!), and since he rejected Fang's costume precisely because it was not his own, it makes sense for him to want one that officially declares his independence." JOHN BYRNE PS. Panes 3 and 5 are parts of the cover scene. Social/Sharing |

Claremont's caption acknowledges that "It's a progression they've seen before," presumably referring to Dark Phoenix.

Every panel's got something to see! Top to bottom vintage storytelling from the X-master in Cockrum. Can't beat X-folk against my fave bad in Doc Doom IMO. Big congrats, Toni!

Uncanny X-Men at this time kept the high level of popularity and getting Cockrum back delighted fans to bring back the lustre of his first run!

One of Cockrum's best issues without a doubt, from the first stage of the new generation of the Xmen...Storm, Night Racer, Wolverine and Doctor Doom. Can't get more art and action in one panel. Congratulations my friend for this treasure.

Wow!!! Phenomenal Uncanny X-men page by Dave Cockrum and Joe Rubinstein. I don't think Dave's pencils have ever been better! I especially love that third panel with the tight close-up on Storm's face. Has she ever looked fiercer or more powerful? I think not. Joe's inks here really enhance and emphasize her increaslingly god-like powers! Love that fifth and final panel with Storm challenging Doom with a display of the power that she possesses. Again, Joe's inks really bring this scene to life and make it incredibly memorable! Fantastic pick-up, congrats!
