DescriptionDEATH & DELIRIUMBy Sanya Anwar Tribute to her own cover to Betty & Veronica #5 Ink, graphite on illustration board 11×17 in. Not for Sale Sanya Anwar's cover to Betty & Veronica #5 is the quintessential expression of the last days of High School. I've always loved it but by the time I had discovered it, it had already sold to another collector. It's also a bit outside of my focus but I absolutely love it. At a certain point I saw that Sanya was accepting commissions and so I reached out and inquired about her paying tribute to her own cover and substituting Death & Delirium for Archie's best gals. To my delight she agreed and here we have it. I asked her to change "Riverdale" to "Endless" to match the layout, too. Original cover added to the images on the scroll. Social/Sharing |

Nice job by Sanya on the original B&V Archie Comics cover and on this Sandman related homage of Death & Delirium! I really like this look for Delirium with the torn fishnet stockings (with the band aid still there!). There's also something a bit funny to me about Death drinking Boba tea and using a smartphone, must be the last day of a marathon Endless meeting!

It's likely that our cel phones will ultimately be the death of us all... but hopefully boba won't be.

This is a really lovely cover. Sanya has really come a long way in terms of her artistic growth since she was a fan artist at the local conventions here in Montreal when I last saw her 12 or 13 years ago.
