DescriptionAs many of you know Jeff is nearly impossible to get art from with nearly all of his published work being donated to the Billy over the years. With Jeff having never taken on public commissions in over 40 years, I jumped at the opportunity to get an 14x17 fully art directed cover quality piece. The last piece I got was a dream but I wanted something that felt more like a full cover since I’ll never be able to get one. When I thought of “what’s the perfect classic pose”, the Star Wars Hildebrandt painting instantly came to mind. With Star Wars being a series we both throughly enjoy, a series that had a heavy influence on Jeff and with the recent passing of Greg Hildebrandt, it felt like the perfect choice. My eternal gratitude to Jeff. You're killing me DJ. The first one you got was a gift, so I'll let that slide. But now you're just showing off. Anyway, congrats on having much better luck with Jeff Smith than I have. I have one measly sketch that I won at auction which was then damaged in shipping.

Haha, thank you. Sorry to hear about the damage. Hopefully your luck changes and can upgrade!

Same, it feels so perfect since it starts and ends with them. What else would go there? A group of birds or something ;-)

Huge congrats! I tried to get one of the commission spots but missed out in the mad rush. Never would have thought to mash up Bone with Star Wars, but it works.
