Description

Cover Recreation with a twist! I'm thrilled that Andrew Griffith was on board for this idea! I had him take the cover layout for GI Joe Yearbook issue 2, by Michael Golden, with members of the original GI Joe team! So we have Stalker, Flash, Rock N Roll, Snake Eyes, Scarlett and Breaker! That makes one more character than the original cover (unless you count Timber), so Andrew really worked some magic! Each character looks fantastic on their own but the group shot is something else! The stars and stripes background really puts it over the top! If you're not familiar with Andrew Griffith, this one should make you a fan!

One of the more memorable covers of the run and one that got the attention of even the long time comics fans who'd often dismiss the property. This execution by Griffith revives the partriotic and heroic feel of the Joes back when we were more idealistic.
