Description

The Electric Company Wile E. Coyote Production cel and Effects Animation Drawing. (Children's Television Workshop, 1971-1977). This original production cel features Wile E. Coyote from The Electric Company, the groundbreaking educational children's television series produced by the Children's Television Workshop for PBS. Known for its creative blend of live-action, animation, and music, The Electric Company aimed to teach grammar and reading skills to elementary school children through engaging and entertaining segments. Among the most memorable animated contributions were specially produced Looney Tunes shorts directed by Chuck Jones, featuring Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. These segments reinforced phonetic concepts using visual wordplay and on-screen signs. This rare production setup includes a hand-painted 12-field acetate cel of Wile E. Coyote paired with a special effects drawing-illustrated in graphite-of dust and smoke, capturing the kinetic energy of one of his classic sudden stops. The artwork is matted to 14" x 11" and remains in Very Good condition. A unique and educationally significant piece of animation history, perfect for collectors of both Looney Tunes and classic children's television.
