I was blown away when I received this Akira commission from Chris Mooneyham. I asked for Kaneda on his motorcycle. Not only did I get Kaneda on his motorcycle, there is a laser rifle thrown in for good measure AND it's done as an homage to the Katsuhiro Otomo's promo piece! It ended up being one of Felix Comic Art's most liked postings on socials when Felix initially shared it. As it should be because it's absolutely killer! Couldn't be happier!

The simple grid background aesthetic is so of its time too! Mooneyham boils it down to the Otomo essentials!

Man, that's always been the perfect profile shot. Love the colors, too...a sweet homage but a killer Mooneyham piece in its own right. Congrats!
