Description

Sandy Plunkett and Dave Stevens The Rocketeer Adventure Magazine #3 Story Page 25 Original Art (Dark Horse, 1995). The late Dave Stevens created the '30s pulp-styled hero the Rocketeer in 1981, which quickly became a fan favorite with its compelling adventure stories and stunning artwork. Cliff's legendary helmet is featured on Panels 2 and 3 of this exquisite panel page from the story "Death Stalks The Midway". Rendered in ink over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15.25". Whiteout touch-ups. Text paste-ups in the last two panels. The last panel is an original art paste-up.

Dave's touches are so recognizable, but are very effective along side Sandy's inks!
