size is 21 x 16cm complete and the size of the printed area is 19,5 cm x 13 cm

The presence of small imperfections in the final panels makes me think it was material during the proofing process or simply as a test print to understand final result and so probably just as a step in the long and complex technical typographic process, or used for smaller publications with a lower required quality.

Print film used for the French comic.
