Description

This is the final page from the famous Ice Cream Man story that did twisted takes on classic children�s books, where artist Martin Morazzo aped the art styles of the various authors. After reading these twisted stories to the kids, he asks how their mom�s brain turned to mush and was full of holes. Then he wickedly says �nighty night� in his evil visage as he switches off the light, implying he had something to do with it. It�s a great read - and really kick started the Ice Cream Man comic�s cult status. I have a bunch of Ice Cream Man Art, and this is the 5th page from the series (including a cover) that I have posted on Caf.

I scream, you scream! This solo page with Ice Cream Man as the host in the manner of EC's old Witch is very representative of the horror Prince and Mozzaro aimed for. Everyday tragedies turned into nightmares.

Great closing moment to the series and a fine example of panel to panel horror. The fade to black works here and reminds me of The Sopranos ending how was received. Wonderful page!
