Frontispiece for the 2024 Pegana Press edition. Inks and prelim.

This has been an exciting year for my collection, but this might be my favorite pickup so far. I've been a fan of Gianni's illustrations since I came across his art over a decade ago, but obtaining a great inked example of what I enjoy has been impossible. As some of you may know, there's not much floating around. I've been playing the waiting game for the right example to pop up, and for me, this is one of my favorites. I loved the book by Robert W. Chambers when I read it in high school, and this illo showcases why I love Giannis inks. It's my perfect combo.

Truly spectacular - congrats! Waiting for an inked piece was the right call, though the pencils are equally delicate and beautiful. Love it!
