Descriptionpencil and ink on Bristol board17 h × 11 w in (43 × 28 cm) estimate: $1,200–1,800 Sal Buscema is an American comic book artist most closely associated with Marvel Comics, where he became one of its most prolific creators over a thirty-year span. He served as the regular artist on The Spectacular Spider‑Man (1976-78, 1988-96), produced long runs on The Incredible Hulk (early 1970s into mid‑1980s), and contributed to flagship titles such as Avengers, Captain America, Thor, Defenders, Rom, and New Mutants. Known for his reliable storytelling and clean yet energetic linework, Buscema inked much of his own work starting in the late 1970s and remained an in-demand artist across decades. Social/Sharing |
