Green Lantern wakes up inside a hallucination where he is Haljor the Barbarian, weilder of the Powersword. In this fantasy world, he is sent on a quest to find King Caarl's daughter, Princess Caarol. Accompanied by Dorinda and using the magic Powersword, Haljor follows the trail of Caarol to Castle Oan, where the wizard Guardon holds the princess hostage. Haljor manages to rescue Caarol, but Guardon brings the whole castle down, killing Dorinda. Avenging her, Haljor attacks Guardon brutally, and stands ready to strike the killing blow. Keith Pollard is an American comic book artist whose work peaked in the late 1970s and early 1980s at Marvel Comics. He drew major runs concurrently on The Amazing Spider‑Man, Fantastic Four, and Thor. Pollard later contributed to DC Comics in the early 1980s, working on Green Lantern and Wonder Woman as well as launching Vigilante and co-creating a Kristin Wells Superwoman story. Dan Adkins was an American illustrator and inker whose four‑decade career bridged comic books and sci-fi magazines. He began as Wally Wood’s assistant in 1964, contributing to Creepy, Eerie, and early T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents stories, and eventually became known for his clean, expressive inking style. Adkins joined Marvel in 1967, where he worked prominently inking Doctor Strange, Sub-Mariner, and other titles, initially also penciling his own material before transitioning almost entirely to inking over established artists. Over his long career, Adkins inked the work of many legendary pencilers including Wally Wood, John Buscema, Gil Kane, Gene Colan, Steve Ditko, Barry Windsor‑Smith, John Byrne, Paul Gulacy, Keith Pollard, and others. He was also a prolific magazine illustrator and cover artist, producing work for publications like Eerie, Famous Monsters of Filmland, The Savage Sword of Conan, and Monster Parade. In recognition of his lifetime contributions, he was inducted posthumously into the Inkwell Awards’ Joe Sinnott Hall of Fame in 2019. Social/Sharing |
