DescriptionGreat splash of three of my favorite characters.This initially was going to be the end splash for Deadpool Wolverine issue 5, but after Josh reviewed with editorial, they went ahead with the head shot splash which I was fortunate to pick up. Josh showed rough pencils of this unpublished version during one of his IG lives so I reached out to see if he was willing to finish it. Glad to add this companion piece to the published piece. I can't decide which one I like better. Social/Sharing |

Thanks Ruben. Definitely like seeing more of each character, but I can see from an editorial standpoint the headshot splash having a more impact full feel with the story

The both have their strengths. While the other one serves the story better, this one shows them off individually more. Good thing you got both as there would never be a debate when one of them is gone.

I prefer the unused image but I can see why the dialogue is more effective in the final art. But you have both so winner, winner!

Love Josh's rendering and this is no exception! IMO Abin Sur steals the show...them beady eyes! Congrats!

Stunning splash! Love this group of head shots of Wolverine, Apocalypse and Stryfe! Hard to imagine it was set aside, but when I look at the splash with the three faces making up one, I can understand the choice. But nevertheless, this is a phenomenal piece. Good for you having it inked by Josh--It's fully worthy of the extra effort. Love Apocalypse's fae here, it's so evil and theatening! Wolverine's face is of course perfect, no surprise with Josh drawing it. Josh is an amazing artist and a heckuva nice guy! I met him at OAX last year and enjoyed chatting with him about his art. Great pick-up, congrats!
