L'oie, symbole de bêtise, revient dans de nombreuses oeuvres de Jean VEBER. Il s'est représenté ici, précédé de son frère, dans une parodie des "Bourgeois de CALAIS". Extraordinary concept that would make people do a double take at first viewing. The absurdity would have delighted many to capture people's imaginations at the turn of the century.
