DescriptionJordi Franch Cubells (as Jorge Franch) The Secret Heart Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 9-15-73 (Chicago Tribune-N.Y. News Syndicate, 1973). After being harassed on stage and daring to stand up for herself, this single mother loses her job and can barely scrape together partial rent. Short-lived but striking, this romance strip delivered a full story in just one week -- six daily strips building to a Sunday finale. Despite the brisk format, Cubells' art stood out with a level of detail and elegance that often outshined the longer-running romance comic books of the era. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 16.5" x 5".I love the the panel compositions and especially the inking on this strip. Social/Sharing |

Not come across the strip nor the artist before but what a great strip! Each panel a delight and the whole is great storytelling
