Sweet dark fantasy era where earthtones and lighting became popular paperback cover colors to indicate more mature themes away from the brightly colored books meant for a kid audience.

Nice!

I have the pencil prelim for this, and the figures are smaller, Les told me “the publishers wanted the figures made larger, which I did...”.
