DescriptionI have been trying to get some Aron Wiesenfeld art from this series for so long, but there has always been very little out there. Especially from issue #1 as Trevor Scott inked it and he doesn't sell his art. Apparently Aron never really did either because he popped up on CAF recently with a variety of Team 7 pages. First was this one and another on eBay, which he posted to his CAF with links to the eBay pieces, then he uploaded more to his own website (https://aronwiesenfeldshop.com/collections/comic-book-original-art, where you can just buy and check out and he sends it out, easy peasy) but also on his CAF. Thanks to my CAF Premium email alerts, I was immediately emailed when Aron (one of my keywords) posted to his CAF, so I went there, saw the page and link, and immediately went to eBay and bought this page. The other also sold just after this one. So I was thrilled to be able to get such a great splash from issue 1 and chat with Aron and he is a really nice guy and super easy to deal with. I even bought another page from the 2nd batch he posted after this one and am still just waiting for that one to arrive but will share it soon as well.As for this page, Team 7 #1 was the ultimate origin of the Wildstorm universe and I loved the original miniseries a lot. The members of Team 7 are all integral Wildstorm characters themselves (like Grifter, Backlash, Deathblow, Lynch, Dane, etc) or a parent of the Gen13 teens. This page is from the end of the issue, which was a wild ride through a '70s war movie of absolute badasses, when the entire team is exposed to the Gen Factor, which makes them all sick and ultimately gives them their powers. This end splash from the first issue is literally the page that shows the betrayal of the team as they are exposed to this genetic mutagenic pathogen. So the origin of the Wildstorm universe all starts here with this page! Plus it has the entire team and is a super detailed splash! I am so happy to own this one! Social/Sharing |

Issue 1 was the best. The style broke down after the second issue as there was no way he was going to maintain it.
