DescriptionI love Michael Golden art and I have fond memories of this pencil rendering of Mar-Vell. I met Michael at a convention in Toronto and bought this print largely because of Silver Surfer being on it. I didn't have enough money for a full sketch, but Michael told me that if I could identify one Marvel character from the 70s that was not on the print, he would sketch that characterfor a very reasonable price. It took me a while, but finally, it hit me: one of my favourites from that era, the red and blue-garbed Captain Marvel. He drew it and I thank him for it.Social/Sharing |

A big win and a future trivia question for Michael Golden fans! This pencil drawing has a fine touch to it. It conveys even more than his marker pieces.

Michael Golden has an undeserved reputation for being a bit cold and aloof. That is a really sweet story about how he treats his true fans and I can understand your attachment to the print and the remarque on it because of the circumstances in which it was acquired. Congrats.
