Description

Swamp Thing and Hawksmoor stand within the ruins of the factory as it begins to come alive in grotesque fashion. The machinery produces eerie �boxes� fused with human features�an unsettling display of industry merging with flesh. Perkins captures the horror with bold inks and dense detail: a haunting close-up of a screaming face takes center stage, while the bottom panels show Hawksmoor collapsing, overwhelmed by the factory�s terrifying reclamation.

What ultimately made me purchase this page was the powerful close-up profile of Swamp Thing. Rendered in deep shadow, it highlights the organic detail of his features while giving the character a solemn, mythic presence. Very powerful with that inset close up of the monster deep in thought! The environment is very cool as there is so much ink and shadows, but you can still make out all the details from it.

Mike's work on this title/run never ceases to amaze me when I look at it, and this one is no different for all the reasons you mentioned. That inset close up panel of Swamp Thing is just top notch. congrats!
