Headless Horseman I (1995)
Oil on Masonite Board, 18 � 24 in.

Originally created as the cover to a children�s book, this piece was ultimately rejected for being deemed �too haunting� for young readers. In response, Frank Frazetta painted a second Horseman piece, this time with a more festive atmosphere � complete with a smiling jack-o�-lantern.
