DescriptionHe might not have created her, but like that other Frank with Conan, Thorne's Red Sonja defined the look of the character.Beautiful barbarian women and unicorns is a theme that Thorne revisited in his self-created Ghita of Alizarr series. I haven't read Ghita yet, but I assume the subtext found in this page of a unicorn regrowing a horn is a little more direct in that work. I'm very blessed to own be the current steward of this piece. I never thought I'd have the opportunity to own original art, and certainly nothing this spectacular. Social/Sharing |

Issue 1 was a sensation! It was an extension of the Conan franchise, but Thorne and Red Sonja made it so strong that it quickly stood on its own.

Congratulations. Frank Thorne is an artist that I always paid attention to. I believe that the majority of the issue 1 pages were kept by Frank and only made available after his death. It is good to see these pages getting into the hands of people that appreciate them!

Thank you so much, and yes, I believe you're correct that these were in Thorne's estate until his death.
