I got this from Wes Tillander. Traded him a Marie Severin Rawhide Kid cover rough but would have easily paid the $80 he was asking if I had to (It was '93, before the internet and Ebay took over, so things were still relatively cheap.). I love this as much as any of Pratt's finished pieces, or at least the ones that cost less than $1000. The energy, the mood, the free use of materials which smudge and blur into each. I'm not sure of the materials -- Pratt doesn't remember -- but I'd guess watercolor, acrylic (at the bottom of the image), thin marker and some kind of oil stick (the cape and large black on the figure have an oily stain that bleeds through the paper).
