3-2025...Finally was able to add to my collection an awesome piece of the character I selected for my username on CAF - Mister Miracle! He's isn't my #1 superhero (sorry Scott Free - it's Barry Allen, the Flash) but he is such an awesome character. Highfather's son forced to live in the pits of Apokolips while Darkseid's son Orion lives in the luxury of New Genesis...no wonder he's always escaping! An amazing escape artist, probably something we eventually at one point in time or another we wish to be!

When I won this piece, I didn't realize how big it is! It is essentially full scale. Great color and overall style by Steve, and nice how he thanks Jack Kirby for his creation in the signature. From the description...

Steve "The Dude" Rude fully captures the feeling of joy and freedom of Jack "The King" Kirby's character named Scott Free. It was most likely either a "Chalk-Talk" piece or created specifically for the Art Sale at the show. Created in ink marker and color marker over graphite on 26" x 40" art paper. This has been affixed to a 30" x 40" illustration board. Signed and dated in the lower left.

Rude brings the magic of the Fourth World with a salute to Kirby and to the far flung future! Very nice vintage when Rude did this all on the spot.

Holy cow 26" x 40" !!??? Awesome vintage Rude piece and a great Kirby homage! congrats on the auction win, helluva Mister Miracle piece and it does justice to your chosen CAF name :)
