Description

Rhino has unfortunately never had his own comic series. I've had it on my list to work with a letterer to get a "Rhino title" for a book that should exist. Tom Orzechowski was more than happy to take a stab.

When asked about the design, his first response was "the letters tell me what to do." He started with a blocky design for a blocky character. He said that the angles on the R and N are from a classic style since Rhino came from the Romita and Lee era of ASM. The "dot" of the I is pounding the letter down since Rhino likes to smash. It was awesome to see how much work goes into "just" writing a name!

Completed at NYCC 2025.

The letterer extraordinaire does what he does best! Rhino has hard edges, thick letters, and dynamic bounce!
