DescriptionWhen this nifty mini-series hit the racks in 1986, Pat Broderick was fully in my circle of trust. If Broderick drew it, I bought it, no questions asked. This series had the added bonus of Broderick inking himself.Here, the seven princes of darkness of the Ultra Realm gather to celebrate their plans finally coming to fruition. Then they remember the greatest prize, Earth, has yet to be completely conquered, and they set about planning the ultimate victory. The series was drawn on a larger than normal 13x20 board, with an image area of 12x17.75 inches. This is a hunka-hunk of artistic brilliance. In addition to ink, Broderick also employed markers in his finishes, which led to portions of many of his pages having lighter line work when markers were used. I have a Green Lantern page by Broderick that has a couple of images faded to a very pale version of what was originally drawn. Fortunately, these two pages haven't suffered that fate and have deep black inks. Social/Sharing |

Broderick squeezed a lot of emotions out of this page! The layout is like what a dungeon master might use for a D&D campaign writing notes on scraps of paper.
