DescriptionToday is Godzilla Day in Japan. 71 yrs ago the first Godzilla movie was released in theaters. Godzilla has been a huge part of my fandom from movies, comics and toys. I collected it all. I was fortunate to get this in one of the past Signature Heritage auctions. I used to own the cover to #11 but sold it years ago when I thought I was leaving the hobby. Needless to say I got pulled back in and thankful to get another cover. This story is the first of a 3 issue arc where Godzilla goes cosmic fighting various monsters between battling alien races. A stunning piece of Bronze Age comic art — bold, dynamic, and masterfully inked. Godzilla’s powerful pose and the deep space backdrop create epic energy, while the crisp line work and dramatic contrasts showcase Marvel’s monster spectacle at its best. I plan to upload more Godzilla art daily in celebrating Godzilla Day. Social/Sharing |

It's a great spotlight cover on Godzilla! Godzilla isolated in space expands the storylines to other worlds and other battles to give Earth time to rebuild! Godzilla Minus Zero could refer to Monster Zero!

Godzilla has a pretty good vertical. No wonder he had a successful career in the NBA...

Great stippling by Rubenstein over the ever underrated Trimpe's pencils. I would have thought it was Ernie Chan inks if not for the signature. Truly awesome in scope and execution.

Classic. That one must have really stood out on the newsstands. Herb knew how to grab your attention. "Bold and dynamic" is spot on! Great cover!
