In conjunction with F M�s �Doodle Week�, I wanted to take a few days to present a similar assortment of con sketch confectionery, delicious doodles, and candied commissions to celebrate the holiday season here on CAF�. The return of the festive, goofy, goody-laden, OA Advent calendar�. The return of the ART-VENT CALENDAR (2025 EDITION)! :)

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday�. Thor�s Day! And that can only mean one thing: a pair of Walt Simonson posts today!

When you go after a big Thor piece, you don�t want it to turn out to be Low-key! A mighty, 11x17, edge-to-edge sketch of the bearded Thunderer himself (thank you once more, Steve)! I do enjoy Walt�s quick sketch pieces for the opportunity they give us to get a good view of the rock solid fundamentals of his design-oriented style, and they�ll more often than not feature some lovely details, too (like the shine / reflection on Thor�s helmet here).

An 11x17 Doodle!? I think you're breaking the laws of both Physics and Doodles. But it's a helluva Simonson Thor sketch piece, too sweet! congrats.

Over time, the Thor drawing looks more and more like Walt himself.
