Description

Very nice page with a classic work of John Byrne and nice thick inking.
Note the small passage of Magneto in the sky

Published in 2000, dimension 10x15 in.

It's a good thing he's in a tropical climate, because an amnesiac Iceman is down to just his skivvies and boots as he races after Karl Lykos, who absorbs his mutant energies to trigger a transformation into the savage Sauron. Meanwhile, Magneto soars overhead on this frantic and action-packed page, rendered in ink over graphite on Marvel Comics Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15.5". All text is paste-up, and the board shows light handling wear. In Excellent condition.

Very nice as Byrne and Palmer aimed to bridge the time period of X-Men reprints after #66 right up to GSX1. Palmer added the classic inks that he did during the Neal Adams run and Byrne had the clout to get the book made!

These Hidden Years pages look fantastic in black and white i.e. the origianl art. Palmer's inks add just thr right feel. Congrats.

I have to agree. The Byrne/Palmer artistic team was special and holding a page in your hand makes you do a double take... somehow this artwork looks much better than the published version. CONGRATS!!!
