A new VERTIGO series takes a decidedly dark spin on familiar fairy tale characters

Led by Snow White, a reformed Bigby Wolf, and a slew of others, the secret community of Fabletown is adjusting to life among the "mundanes."

I have a fondness for this series...so simple, yet so original in concept.
Love the "humman" take on all the fabled characters.

I like seeing how Bigby and Snow are named on this page...especially Snow Whites desk name plate.

Mahalo to Steven for letting me become the caretaker for this historic page.

Very cool first issue, first appearance page. This one definitely epitomizes the first run of Fables!

Looks great as Lan Medina and Steve Leialoha set the tone for this series with the high level of detail that subverts expectations of a fairy tale with their high realism take.

Mark Buckingham defined the look for Fables and how Snow and Bigby were depicted, but I still love Lan Medina's look for the two of them in that first arc. Congrats on the first appearance page! And love the banter on display here between the two.
