Description

X-Men & X-Factor, and the New Mutants, and an especially dramatic Professor X.

Hard to know where to start with thanks on this one, but I'll start with Andre, then Paul, and finish with Joseph. You all know what you did.

LOVE that it came with the prelim - one gets such a full view of the process. Great content and ideas on the page - congrats! Choo choo! 🚊

Fantastic.  A piece of Mutant Massacre in there...in telepathic memory...powerful.

Professor X can't stand the strain!  "I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened".  The betrayal of Cyclops finally breaks him!

Great page from a memorable issue. I think everyone that has read it remembers Xavier's floating head ;)

what a page, that first panel is wonderful - certainly this is what you would want from a Nowlan page and classic New Mutants timing!

I actually already had the prelim, but yeah, it's great to have both!

At the time, as a 11-12 year old reader I was intrigued but also weirded out by Nowlan's cold, alien style; always made me feel a little unsettled.  Took me a bit of maturing to recognize how singular and unique is is--now I'd say he's one of my favorite artists.  Love that this page showcases him doing his take on several key moments/themes from the late 80s world of X.  And great writing by Claremont, as always.  Congrats!

You weren't the only one with a strong reaction to his non-Marvel house style - he has shared the hate mail Marvel got from his work on the issue. As you can see from the other pages I have from the book, I love it!
