Yeah, I know the pose is problematic. And yes, once it is framed, it might be hung right outside my bathroom.

If anyone saw my collector's conversation with Bill in 2021, I shared the cover of Back Issue by Dan Jurgens I had. It had Superman on it, with a lot of other characters. I got it by trading Mike Burkey three covers for that one.

I think I sent it to auction when I started trying to raise money to buy a Jim Lee piece. The main reason I was willing to let go of that piece, was that Brett Breeding didn't ink it. That '92-94 era when I bought Superman comics off the shelf, it was always "art by Jurgens and Breeding."

I knew next time I bought a Jurgens page, I wanted it to be a Jurgens/Breeding page. I had no plans to be a buyer for CA Live. I've sold a couple pieces years ago with the online show, but I never purchased anything.

When this showed up, I had to pull the trigger. The covers that have come to auction have been way out of my price range. I really wanted a full-splash by these guys and nothing I'd seen in my price range was a full splash.

Big thanks to Malvin for letting this one go. It found a good home.

Superman leg day with the splashy super squat of 1995! Maybe they've held back using this pose until it's finally ready.

Love me some post death long haired Superman. Especially when he's drawn by Dan Jurgens. Dude is squatting some heavy weight. Look at the image for inspiration when it's time to work out.

One of their last issues together on the SUPERMAN title proper and a very striking splash page (and no, I didn't consider the pose as problematic in any way until you highlighted it...😅)...

Glad to hear that! And I never even looked where this fell in the run. You're right, it looks like this was the end of the road, for the ongoing Jurgens and Breeding partnership. Thanks for pointing that out!

Great splash! Powerful looking Superman. I thought it was a good deal. Surprised it lasted as long as it did. Jurgens and Breeding on Superman. Classic!

Totally agree. Had no plans to buy anything that weekend and had hoped someone else would let me off the hook. But by Sunday it was too good a deal to let it go.
