DescriptionWhile re-reading the Sandman Mystery Theatre series, I had the idea to commission Dean Kotz, whom I knew drew amazing JSA characters, to draw Wesley Dodds and Dian Belmont in the late 1930s New York City. Dean took my idea and ran with it, creating this incredible illustration of the couple with and ethereal Sandman figure looming over the city. I am so fortunate to be able to add this to my collection!Social/Sharing |

What a great commission. It is a great homage to the Shadow pulps which featured the oversized Shadow overlooking the city. What a great tribute to the Sandman Mystery Theatre. This could be a cover to an annual.
