Sigh! I could look at these early Cockrum issues again, and again, and again. What a fantastic page! I love how it features the two characters (Sunfire & Thunderbird) with the shortest tenure on the new team.

Amazing early page in the aftermath of GSX #1 and the milestone of relaunching the title with new stories. Sunfire dips probably because he figures there are enough hotheads in the new team that they will kill one off the next issue!

Wow -- congrats on the great pickup! I guess Sunfire was really serious since he hasn't shown up in X-Men comics too often since then.
