What a great top strip! Pure Davis showcasing a change in emotions. A great ending as they realize that the war and their hell is over.

Such wonderful work by one of the masters of the medium. I've long felt that Davis' EC war work was his best stuff.

Wow!!! Classic EC end page by none other than Jack Davis! Love the top vertical panels showing the soldier's loss turn to surprise as well as the panel of them embracing. They remind me of Krigstein's Master Race. I appreciate the second last panel showing in the distance the bombers that could use the island's airfield and save the crews' lives. I also love that end panel with the island memorialzing the soldiers who gave their lives to take the island. Fabulous! Congratulations!
