According to the NY Daily News, Natasha has run off to Russia with secret plans on this shocking opening title splash from "The Torment... And the Triumph!" written Roy Thonmas and edited by Stan Lee. Splendid pencils by Don Heck with phenomenal inking by George Roussos on this piece. Twice-up large art Marvel Superhero splashes are very tough to get these days, darn rare indeed!Social/Sharing |

Wow! The tragedy and pathos are communicated so well through Heck's masterful composition and theatrical poses. Classic Marvel, and a stunning title page. Congrats!

You can definitely see the emotional play that Heck and Roussos brought to life in this grand display! A lot of tricks to manipulate the figures like a romance comic.

Classic splash, full of heroes and wonderful early Marvel treats! Great to see Black Widow in the news, a pre-internet "befuddled Browsers" call out and the "Not Brand Echh" reference in the credits box! Truly an Avengers twice-up jewel, congrats West!

Love twice-up Silver Age splash pages like this one! There's so mjmuch 9interesting detail going on everwhere you look! Terrific pencils by Don Heck with great inking by George Roussos! Fantastic pick-up!
