Description

Following commissions from Yamato USA in 2017 for the creation of DC Comics figures, Luis Royo continued exploring this type of representation in figures from these pop culture universes, full of female characters.

Betty Boop is a cartoon character who appeared in the Talkartoon series, produced by Max Fleischer (Fleischer Studios) and released by Paramount Pictures. Known for her overt sexuality, Betty Boop achieved great success in American cinema.

Betty Boop�s most vulnerable side is revealed in this work, in a pose reminiscent of the one where she stands over a steam vent, exposing the character�s most private parts. Her face shows the surprise of the moment, although from her gaze and expression, it�s unclear how intentional it was. Perhaps she wanted us to be there, witnessing what happened�
