DescriptionFollowing commissions from Yamato USA in 2017 for the creation of DC Comics figures, Luis Royo continued exploring this type of representation in artworks inspired by pop culture universes filled with superheroines.Batgirl operates in Gotham City, allying herself with Batman and the original Robin, Dick Grayson, along with other masked vigilantes. The character appeared regularly in Detective Comics, Batman Family, and several other books produced by DC until 1988. Batgirl is presented as a female reflection of Batman: elegant, vigilant, and deadly, with her flowing red hair and billowing cape softening the darkness of the city she protects, Gotham City. Her presence combines strength, intuition, and allure, making her a symbol of powerful femininity that resonates with the shadow of her mentor. Social/Sharing |
