Descriptionthe Thanos 1st saga aftermath in one sublime Jim Starlin endpage from his penultimate issue !!!All the pages from that particular issue where Mar-Vell is battling Thanos with the Avengers helping out are all grail level mesmerizing beauties not even mentionning the cover which sold not long ago... Janson's inking on Jim's pencils is plain perfect !!! This end page shows Captain Marvel, Drax, the Avengers with Black Panther, Vision, Ironman, Thor, Captain America, the Scarlet Witch, Mantis and the Swordsman !!! The Cosmic Cube has been destroyed, Thanos has been beaten and yet his presence is all over the page.. The cityscape panels are so perfectly executed and the general mood extremely serious gives this page a profound emotional impact ! Only one thing is missing ...Last panel's last words which should read "the life of Captain Marvel" Oddly enough as it is on the side of the Next issue announcement featuring Nitro who would later be proven to have caused the cosmic hero's deadly cancer. So happy with this perfect page I could stare forever Social/Sharing |

Beautiful page with those Klaus Janson inks. And you are right, that Nitro mention is special with hindsight. Congrats!

Iconic page! And yes, I wish there had been more collaborations between Jim Starlin and Klaus Janson. Pairing them together on this very dense and key issue was a masterstroke in itself!

A great character page. Janson's inks are so good, and I agree that the cityscape is really something special - otherworldly against the superheroes.
