DescriptionThis nice Silver Age page was drawn in December 1967, written by Stan “The Man” Lee and released in March 1968. Marie also was the colourist (like on hundreds of classic Marvel pages). I absolutely loved this story a child and still do, because these are two of my favourite Marvel characters and the story was really wild: Loki “transported” the unknowing poor Hulk to the Rainbow Bridge, so that he can make trouble in Asgard and fight Thor. But instead he gets into combat with The Warriors Three. Marie is my favourite Hulk artist (together with Kirby and John Buscema and from the “modern” artists”: Dale Keown). Look up my other page from this story if you like what you see here and also my other Severin pages with “Submariner” and “Hulk” (including one from TTA issue 100 with both - in a wild fight). I show my other pages with Hulk and/or Loki in my “John Buscema”, ”Sal Buscema”, "Dale Keown" and “Esaad Ribic” galleries and in my "Marvel Mix" gallery"! And offer also a a strong "Submariner vs Tiger Shark" page from 1969 in my "Art for sale" gallery, by Odin’s bristling beard! MMM: Mike Mine Marvel!Social/Sharing |

I once read a quote from Marie where, in reference to the other Marvel Bullpen artists, she said that she "knew her place." She was implying that the others were so good that she was lucky to be there. I've looked at her pages including this one and I don't know why she sold herself short. This is absolutely gorgeous! Every panel is a joy to behold. Congrats!

Well, as one of the underbidders I did wonder where this beauty went! It is a stunning page, with an extraordinary transportation scene. The theatrical poses of Loki and the closing panel really showcase Marie Severin's talents. This is a very special page!
