Caught in the hype of last summer's Fantastic Four: First Steps, I was waiting to find a Hitch Fantastic Four page from his run on the main ongoing and stumbled onto this early design for Sue Storm from the Ultimate Fantastic Four book. I love when artist ink themselves, and Bryan might just be his own best inker as shown here.

So very, very cool! All these Ultimate FF design pieces were great (and allowed for a nice glimpse into creative process), but I think you got the best one, showcasing a youthful Sue and a really compelling character and costume design - perfect for the Ultimate U. I love how the concept drawing itself is a sleek and futuristic, fun presentation (rather than a straightforward, OHOTMU-style rotation) with different zoom levels and lovely composition over a really smooth layout: Bryan's design sense even takes over the pitch page itself. :) Great grab, Eric (and happy new year)!
