Christmas 2025 gift from my friend Joanna.

Each year we tell each other specifically what we want. Our other halves think it�s weird as they don�t get why we enjoy getting something that we already know about and can likely get ourselves. But it�s always so fun to open on our annual midnight Christmas and we know it�s exactly what we wanted. And usually we throw in a few random extras that make it even more fun.

This page is another spectacular highly detailed art piece from the current X-Men master artist, Netho Diaz. It features the return of Doug Ramsey as he transforms into Revelation, the heir of Apocalypse. He was last seen over a year and a half ago in the X series - X-Men: Heir of Apocalypse (issue #4, Sept 2024), when he was first created and revealed to be the new heir that would bring mutantkind to a new level that would not just survive to be the fittest but thrive to rule the land created for them. This art from Diaz showcases Doug Ramsey (Cypher) literally being stripped of his old self down to the bones, to then be rebuilt anew to Revelation. This storyline and art is a reiteration and more detailed account of the transformation that initially happened in HOA #4. I really love the meaty stripped down detailed second panel and the skeleton in agony that follows. Doug is reborn into something new that will lead into the next era of X-Men: AGE OF REVELATION.

That's a cool gift! Especially if the friend doesn't know anything about artwork and has to take a leap of faith buying it with the many things we are always concerned about.
