DescriptionFirst post of 2026!As Alberto Gonzalez would say... The anonymous commissions by Jiggy! First and foremost, I am a Lan Medina fan. His art is classic. His art is timeless. Lan was responsible for the art of the first arc of Fables. James Jean originals are extremely art to get right? I thought to myself, why not let Lan the man do the trade paperback cover in his style? Plus maybe add a little twist? Lan said that he put Rose Red so go find her and enjoy! More Lan art to follow! Outside a Filipino moon
Has punched a hole in the night time mist
I climb through the Fables and down to the street
I'm shining like an Exile
The downtown trains are full
Full of all them book 1 girls
They try so hard to break out of their Fables world
You wave your Lan and the cover it shows
They have Legend that forever captures your heart
They're just thorns with Red the Rose
Be careful of them in art
Oh if I was the one you chose to be your volume one
Oh Jiggy can't you hear me now, can't you hear me now
Will I see you tonight on a downtown train
Every line, every line it's just insane
On a downtown train

As a massive Fables fan, I have to say, this is fantastic! Lan definitely captured the essence of the original while still making it his own. Huge congrats, Jiggy!

Love the idea, there's no one more relevant to the series and this specific arc to do their take on this memorable TPB cover while retaining the spirit of Jean's original. Fantastic execution from Lan. congrats Jiggy!
