Description

John Buscema and Rudy Nebres - Original Art for Savage Sword of Conan #88, page 29 (Marvel, 1983). In this ancient version of "The Most Dangerous Game," the villain congratulates two comely lasses who have lured Conan into his lair so that he can make sport of the Cimmerian. An amazing half-splash of the sexy babes makes this page an absolute eye-popper, even if the Warrior King does not put in an appearance. John Buscema's sterling storytelling is enhanced a hundredfold by Rudy Nebres' lush washtones (the "cloud" watercolor technique used in the background of panel two is especially evocative), sending our cool-o-meter right off the scale.
