Description

At Wizard World Chicago in 2003, I was in the long line at Marvel Comics' booth waiting to see a number of creators, and had just received a Wolverine sketch from writer extraordinaire Mark Millar while waiting to the line to move to get to meet Brian Michael Bendis. Now, at the time, I did not know Bendis had artistry in his background in addition to writing the white-hot Ultimate Spider-Man at the time. I put my sketchbook in front of him while he was talking to someone behind the table in back of him, and he just started drawing on the page. I tried to tell him it was a Marvel-themed book to no avail, but I figure, at this point in his career, you don't get much more Marvel than Bendis. So here you have it. Admittedly, I was kinda pissed at the time, but it's good for a chuckle when others are looking through the book.
