Historically speaking, this is the first hint of ongoing adventures. At this point, it's believed that Star Wars #7 was available to the public prior to the novel 'Splinter of the Mind's Eye'. This page represents the first expansion of the Star Wars Universe beyond the first movie.

This is the original artwork and ahs been signed by Howard Chaykin and Roy Thomas.
