Description

I first saw this beauty in Gentlemen Jim Clancy's CAF gallery a couple of years ago and it was easily the most magnificent rendition of the Tamaran princess at that time. In the interim, I've been lucky to get a few other pieces of Starfire that I think are just as breathtaking, but this piece was the one that really made me stop, look at the character, and say, "Whoa!" Not only were all the typical attributes captured perfectly (i.e. big hair, golden complexion, and big...green eyes) but it was the first time I had seen her portrayed without the Perez-influenced babyface she sported in the original New Teen Titans run and I just couldn't help thinking that the character had really "grown up". A great job by Louis Small Jr for being able to create something that could make an old jaded fan re-think the potential of an established character and a very big muchos gracias to Jim for letting go of this baby! Much appreciated!!!
