Description

A nice page from the title that made Whilce a superstar.I loved that era with all the great artistic teams on the X-titles which were litterally bursting with energy.Here we have Sebastian Shaw, the black king of the Hellfire Club, fighting for power against his son, introduced in that very issue, Shinobi.I really like the chalenging layout of that classic page, specially the first panel where the fear of Sebastian for his son is quite tangible.Nice storytelling bit :)

A little update on that page, I learned from Whilce on 1 April 2017 while meeting him and telling him I own the page that it was actually inked by none others than Jim Lee lending a hand in those studio days despite the indicia referencing Art Thibert. Analyzing the page alongside Whilce, we went (mostly he) went through it panel per panel showing me the whys and wheres and it all made perfect sense. A nice bonus I'd say :)
