Description

One of the joys of San Diego is running into creators who just happen to show up. McCarthy has not done much actual comic book art but what I've seen has been incredible. I ran into him and Grant Morrison at the DC booth and then saw him later at Mike Kaluta's table where I asked him to draw Paradax, a character he said he hadn't drawn in 10 years (but it was his. What was I supposed to do, ask for Batman?) It is an odd mix with the Kolcholka sketch but it didn't take up much of the page and that was the point.
