The figure work reminds me a little bit of African American artist, Ernie Barnes (whom I guess is most famous for the paintings he did for the old TV show, "Good Times"). Also, I like the way the post office stamp is seemingly incorporated into the art, almost as if it is the sun spotted through the trees.
