Description

I've admired Chris Sprouse's work since the days when he did "Legionnaires" so I was glad to buy a team superhero page from him during the show. The Paladins are the 1940s heroes of the Wildstorm Universe. With the aid of technology from a crashed Daemonite ship, a general imprisoned the Paladins and their super-powered enemies in a virtual-reality construct called The City. The general's aim was to hold them in reserve until the End of Days or the Apocalypse. This page shows the Paladins in their headquarters on the Palatine Hill. Half of The City's population had just disappeared and the end times seem to have started as stars start falling out of the sky. This was the most beautiful among Chris' "Number of the Beast" pages and so I made sure to pick it up. (Hobbystar Fan Appreciation Day - 2009/04)
